Long-screw connection

This is a joint in which the head of the Allen screw is located in a slot away from the profile being joined. The long-screw joint is a very popular method. The main advantages of this solution are its ease of installation and the rigidity of the joint. For the 45 module with an 8 mm groove, we will drill a hole using a step drill with a diameter of D = 8.5 mm and a countersink for the screw head of D = 13.5 mm, while in the second profile, we will cut an M8 thread. When drilling into a profile with a smooth wall, it is recommended to make a hole with a diameter of 13.5 mm, which will allow for the use of a plug.
