Connection with a short screw

This is a joint in which the head of the Allen screw is positioned in the slot closer to the profile to be joined. The short screw connection is the most common method used for structurally joining aluminium profiles. The greatest advantage of this solution is its simplicity and cost-effectiveness. Thanks to the design of the hex key hole, the connection ensures that minor inaccuracies in the drilling process and during assembly can be eliminated. The connection is very rigid.

For the 45-series module with an 8 mm groove, we drill a hole with a diameter of 7.3 mm to 8.5 mm for the Allen key. In the other profile, we cut an M8 thread. When drilling into a smooth-walled profile, it is recommended to drill a 7.3 mm diameter hole, which allows for the use of a plug.
