Bolt Joint with Roller

The connection consists of three components:

  • Roller with a countersunk hole for the screw head
  • Allen screw (socket head cap screw)
  • T-nut for the profile groove

This is another connection type offered by ALUTEC KK that does not require thread tapping and allows for position adjustment of the connected elements. The disadvantage of this joint is that it is an off-axis connection; therefore, using two elements simultaneously is recommended to create a rigid joint. The bolt with a roller also enables angular joining and the connection of flat profiles without threaded holes.

To create the connection, a hole must be drilled for the roller. A T-nut is inserted into the groove of the second profile, and the connection is made by tightening the Allen screw. You will need a ball-end Allen key for assembly.
